Kashmiri-centric RAHeNOOR healthcare app launched in Srinagar
Srinagar, July 25: In an effort to strengthen the connection between doctors and patients, a group of professional doctors in the valley launched the RAHeNoor mobile app on Sunday aimed at making sense of a patient so that they know their real doctor.
Director Door Darshan Srinagar Qazi Salman, former DDK Director Dr. RafeeqMasoodi, health experts and media staff attended the function held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Hyderpora, on the outskirts of the city of Srinagar.
Welcoming the participants, Dr AdilMajeed Mir, Senior Ophthalmology Consultant at SAG Hospital, detailed the RAHeNOOR application. Calling it a âhumble startâ to a big start, he said the app is meant to create a local connection between doctors and patients. He said that unlike other parts of the globe, we have so far lacked this type of service to deal with people’s miseries and hardships.
âAt one point, a patient doesn’t know their doctor. Thanks to RAHeNOOR, this problem must be solved and the patient can easily find their doctor without having to move here and there, âsaid Dr Adil.
He said that through this app we have provided the eminent health experts in the valley with a platform to think about a great project. âWhen doctors come together on one platform, there is a possibility that they can think about making a big dream come true,â he said and added: âWorking on small projects can help us. drive to a multi-specialty hospital in the valley “.
He hopes that every segment of society will benefit from this platform.
Dr SuhailKhuroo, consultant gastroenterologist at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital, called the app a “comprehensive” health service under one roof.
He said the basic idea of ââlaunching this app is to ensure hassle-free healthcare facilities for patients and added that the organizers are considering starting home delivery of medicines.
Dr NaeemFirdous, MBBS, DNB (Pulmonary Medicine) and responsible for this initiative during his speech, said that RAHeNOOR – Path to Enlightenment, is a vision to provide trusted medical facilities and care to people. He said the service will soon be a way to bring a hassle-free, affordable, quality health care system to people living in all neighborhoods in the valley.
The facility will bring a comprehensive health care solution at the door, including online audio / video consultations, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy and ambulance service under one roof to provide integrated services to nominal prices, âsaid Dr. Naeem.
He added that providing quality and advanced healthcare to the people of Kashmir is our main concern and we aim to strive to reach the needy people in the valley.
He further added that their goal is to unite the threads of the health system with the centers and professionals available locally.
Several health professionals in adult and pediatric rheumatology and pain management, anesthesia and intensive care, cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery (CTVS), clinical psychology, dental surgery, dermatology, dietetics, endocrinology and metabolism, ENT / HNS, gastro -enterology, general / colorectal / GI Laparoscopic surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, interventional radiology, internal medicine, interventional nephrology and kidney transplant, neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, orthopedics, oncology and bone marrow transplant, pediatrics, pediatric oncology, pneumology and intensive care, psychiatry, surgical gastroenterology and minimal access Surgery, surgical oncology and urology were associated with the initiative.
