Detailed error message with call stack

On his D365 Business Central – Code Analysis Tool Blog, Naveen Gour noted that Microsoft has added many new features to Business Central Wave 2 2021 (BC 19).

The most important feature from a developer and end user perspective is to get the detailed error message. In BC 19, if an error appears in the application, the user can see the detailed information. Microsoft has improved the error message window with many additional details.

Gour said that when users get detailed information, they can share it with a developer or partner for quick analysis.

Nour explained how you can get a detailed error message and to demonstrate it, he created a bad transaction and tried to post it. He then received an error related to the dimensions. In his blog post, Gour discussed the different columns representing the different types of error details. He explained that once the user clicks on the error call stack, it will display details of how the code was executed in order and which lines of code caused the error. .
