Health experts will continue to attend to Blues’ medical needs through Indian Super League campaign

Durand Cup champions Bengaluru FC announced on Saturday that they have signed an extension with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, which will remain its official medical partner throughout the 2022-23 Indian Super League season. As part of the agreement, Baptist Hospital will provide ambulances for all of its matches during the season, and medical assistance to the Blues’ senior squad and age group teams.

“We are extremely happy to continue with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, who have been with us since our 2019-20 campaign, and have helped us meet various demands throughout the pandemic. Medical assistance and help from expert hands is vital in sport, and more so at BFC, where we have the first team and several age group teams,” club CEO Mandar Tamhane said.

Speaking at the signing of the MoU at Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Dr. Spurgeon R, CEO and Director of Bangalore Baptist Hospital expressed his pleasure in joining the Durand Cup Champions.

“We are very happy to be able to help Bengaluru FC as they return to the stadium for the Indian Super League. More than providing medical aid, we seek to help the club stay fit throughout the season through our methods. injury prevention, early detection of ailments and more. I wish the team well with their campaign,” said Dr. Spurgeon.

The Blues take on NorthEast United FC in their opening fixture of the Hero Indian Super League 2022-23 campaign, which kicks off at Kanteerava Stadium on October 8.
